BRISTOL AND WEST AND BANK OF IRELAND GROUP EXIT UK MORTGAGE MARKET - January 2009

The banking sector was jolted further by the shock announcement on Wednesday 8th January when the ‘Bristol and West’ and ‘Bank of Ireland Group’ announced they would be closing down most of their mortgage processing centres in the UK making over 90% of staff redundant.
